1. You can just hit the det sensor with a screwdriver. Seriously. But it generally doesn't like to pull timing at idle, because it idles at 15 degrees. As for faking the overheating condition, you can change the temp value through Consult, which is the easiest way. When it gets over ~220 degrees F, it will raise the idle and pull timing. The ECU changes the timing constantly depending on the load and RPM. You need to use a Consult interface to verify what the ECU is timing for. Even checking with a timing light will only be accurate if your CAS is set correctly. 2. The NA has two speeds, TT has three speeds. If you have an NA ECU socketed with a TT program, then it will act just like an NA setup. I would also recommend using a TT fuel pump over Walbro, but that's just opinion.
